Chocolate Crinkles.

To all the chocolate cookie lovers out there, oh I have a recipe for you. I came across these during my daily Pinterest rampage, and couldn’t resist the urge to whip these up. I don’t care what anyone says, Pinterest is pretty amazing. Don’t hate. Anyway, this recipe is from simplyrecipes.com. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS.

1 cup unsweetened coco powder

1 teaspoon espresso powder ( i used 2 teaspoons of caramel sea salt hot cocoa)

1 1/2 cups white sugar

1/2 cup vegetable oil

4 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup powdered sugar

DIRECTIONS.

1. Mix cocoa powder, white sugar, and vegetable oil with electric mixer or wooden spoon until it comes together into a shiny black dough.

2. Add one egg at a time and then beat the vanilla thoroughly.

3. In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and caramel sea salt hot cocoa powder.

4. Pour into chocolate mixture and mix together, but do not overbeat. Cover with plastic wrap and chill dough for a couple hours or overnight.

5. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit and line two baking sheets with parchment paper ( I just buttered the cookie sheet and it worked just fine). Place the powdered sugar in a wide bowl and then roll dough into 1-inch sized balls. Roll the balls in the powdered sugar and place on the cookie sheets.

6. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool for several minutes and then transfer to another platter to completely cool.

7. Stuff your face with chocolate crinkles!

P.S: Would be great with milk, coffee, or tea.

Sincerely,

Brit
